A quick and delicious Cajun sausage pasta that combines bold spices with creamy comfort, perfect for weeknight meals or special gatherings.

  • 1 pound Cajun sausage (or andouille sausage), sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, then drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Sauté the Sausage: In a skillet, heat olive oil, add the sausage, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the Vegetables: Toss in diced onion and bell pepper, sauté for 3-5 minutes, then add the minced garlic.
  4. Introduce the Cream: Pour in heavy cream, stirring in Cajun seasoning, and let simmer.
  5. Stir in the Cheese: Mix in shredded cheese until melted, then add the drained pasta and combine.
  6. Season to Taste: Adjust salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Decorate and Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with parsley.
