Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

A creamy, rich smoothie combining the delicious flavor of chocolate with the nutritional benefits of avocado.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 to cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • to 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or sugar to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small banana (optional)
  • A handful of ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by slicing the avocado and scooping it into the blender.
  2. Add 1 cup of your milk of choice.
  3. Sprinkle in the cocoa powder and your preferred sweetener.
  4. Don’t forget to add the vanilla extract.
  5. Put the lid on the blender and start blending until smooth.
  6. Give your smoothie a taste and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired.
  7. Add the banana if desired and blend until smooth.
  8. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with cocoa powder or whipped cream. This smoothie can also be prepared ahead of time, just add milk right before serving.
