Cranberry Walnut Scones

Delightful scones made with tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts, perfect for any cozy gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup cold unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the cold butter in small cubes and mix until crumbly.
  4. Incorporate the chopped walnuts and dried cranberries into the mixture.
  5. Pour the heavy cream into the well of the dry ingredients and stir gently.
  6. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface, shaping it into a 1-inch thick disk.
  7. Cut the disk into 8 equal wedges and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let them cool on a rack before serving.
