Creamy Beef Pasta

A rich and comforting creamy beef pasta dish perfect for cozy nights and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Onion and Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle in the olive oil. Add in the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes, then add in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and keep heat low so the cheese can melt into the cream.
  5. Combine with Pasta: Gently fold in the cooked penne until coated in the creamy sauce. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Plate the dish and sprinkle with additional Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
