Chicken Noodle Casserole Supreme

A comforting and nostalgic chicken noodle casserole that brings warmth and love to family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Cooked Chicken, shredded
  • 12 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 ½ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: If using raw chicken, season it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes per side. Shred into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked noodles, shredded chicken, frozen vegetables, and half of the cheese to the bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix gently.
  5. Transfer to the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour in the mixture, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top it Off: Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Bake for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
