Creamy Tomato Grilled Cheese Bake

A cozy baked casserole that transforms the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup into a comforting dish everyone will adore.

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 4 cups bread, cubed (sourdough or crusty white)
  • 2 cups cheese blend (sharp cheddar and mozzarella)
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Herbs (basil, oregano, or thyme) – optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  3. Layer half of the cubed bread in the baking dish.
  4. Add the tomato soup over the bread cubes.
  5. Mix the milk or cream with desired herbs and pour over the layers.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture on top.
  7. Top with the remaining bread and cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
