Ultimate Chocolate Coconut Walnut Banana Bread

A comforting and decadent chocolate coconut walnut banana bread that’s perfect for sweet cravings.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Add melted coconut oil, sugar or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently.
  5. Fold in the walnuts and shredded coconut.
  6. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or pair with fresh fruit or ice cream for a dessert twist.
