Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce

A decadently delicious steak topped with a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick, 8 oz. each)
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by taking your ribeye steaks out of the fridge about 30-45 minutes before cooking.
  2. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted.
  4. Add the ribeye steaks to the pan and let them sear for about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Flip the steaks using tongs to prevent any juice from escaping.
  6. Now add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the pan.
  7. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer—medium-rare is 130-135°F (54-57°C).
  8. Remove the steaks and let them rest for at least 5-10 minutes.
  9. Lower the heat and add heavy cream to the same skillet, scraping the brown bits off the bottom.
  10. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  11. Plate the steaks and drizzle with the creamy Parmesan sauce, and garnish with parsley.
