Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce

A comforting steak dinner, perfectly seared ribeye steaks drenched in a rich garlic butter and creamy Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces ribeye steaks (About 1-inch thick, 8 oz each)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steaks: Take the ribeye steaks out of the fridge 30-45 minutes before cooking. Pat them dry and generously season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the pan: Preheat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and melt a tablespoon of butter.
  3. Sear your steaks: Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip & add garlic: Flip the steaks, add minced garlic and remaining butter, and baste with melted butter.
  5. Cook to desired doneness: Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes for medium-rare. Let rest after cooking.
  6. Create the sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat, pour in heavy cream, and stir to combine with garlic and butter.
  7. Incorporate Parmesan: Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Adjust thickness with broth or cream if needed.
  8. Plate the dish: Slice the steaks against the grain, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Pair with roasted vegetables or a green salad. A glass of red wine complements this dish beautifully.
