Grilled Spicy Cottage Cheese

Sizzling pieces of marinated paneer grilled to perfection, bringing warmth and flavor to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 grams paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup peanuts (skinned)
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • A handful of fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 lime, juiced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the peanuts, garlic cloves, green chilies, and cumin. Blend everything into a smooth paste. Add in the lime juice, gram flour, and sesame oil to create a thick, aromatic marinade.
  2. Marinate the Paneer: Gently add your paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring every piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Fire up your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it’s hot before laying down the grill grate.
  4. Grill the Paneer: Place the marinated paneer cubes onto the grate and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Carefully remove the paneer from the grill, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and enjoy warm with a dipping sauce.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute paneer with firm tofu. Marinating overnight enhances flavors.
