Healthy Banana Brownies

Delicious and nutritious brownies made with ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and peanut butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add peanut butter and honey/maple syrup to the mashed bananas, mixing well.
  4. Incorporate cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  5. Add baking powder and mix again until incorporated.
  6. Prepare an 8×8 inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and smooth out the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly firm.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt for a delightful treat.
