High-Protein Honey Garlic Shrimp

Juicy shrimp glazed in a sticky honey-garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients: Peel and devein the shrimp, pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  3. Heat a large skillet on medium-high and add the olive oil.
  4. Sear the shrimp in a single layer for 2–3 minutes on one side, then flip them over.
  5. Combine the shrimp with the honey-soy sauce mixture and simmer until saucy.
  6. Serve the shrimp immediately over steamed rice or with vegetables.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds. Squeeze fresh lime or lemon juice for a zesty contrast.
