Homemade Strawberry Tiramisu

A delightful twist on classic tiramisu, this homemade strawberry version captures the essence of summer with every velvety bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1216 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Slice the strawberries and set them aside.
  2. Combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  3. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth.
  5. Prepare your coffee and let it cool, stirring in coffee liqueur if using.
  6. Dip ladyfinger cookies in the coffee and lay them in a single layer in your dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then half of the strawberries.
  8. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients.
  9. Chill covered in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  10. Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

For extra flair, add sliced strawberries on top before serving.
