Layered Strawberry Mousse Cups

An elegant no-bake dessert with light and airy mousse infused with the sweet, tangy goodness of strawberries, beautifully layered in cups.

Ingredients

  • 300 g whipping cream (cold)
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 150 g thick plain yogurt (e.g., Greek yogurt)
  • 10 g gelatin sheets
  • 30 g hot milk (any fat percentage)
  • 180 g thick strawberry sauce or jam
  • Extra strawberry sauce for topping
  • 4 fresh strawberries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare gelatin by soaking the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 to 10 minutes until soft.
  2. Whip the cream with powdered sugar in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Mix yogurt with half of the strawberry sauce until blended and smooth.
  4. Handle the gelatin by squeezing out excess water and dissolving it in hot milk.
  5. Combine the dissolved gelatin mixture with the yogurt-strawberry blend, then fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Layer the mousse mixture and remaining strawberry sauce in cups until filled.
  7. Chill the cups covered for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Garnish with extra strawberry sauce and a fresh strawberry before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut cream and plant-based yogurt and gelatin.
