Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep Your Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash your ripe bananas until they’re smooth.
  3. Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a separate bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the Egg and Vanilla: Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Mix it All Up: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and fold until just combined.
  7. Incorporate the Bananas and Chocolate Chips: Fold in mashed bananas and chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop the Cookies: Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
