  • 1 package Cornbread mix
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by searing in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Make the honey butter mixture by combining melted butter and honey in a small bowl.
  4. Assemble the dish by placing seared chicken in a casserole dish and drizzling half of the honey butter over it.
  5. Prepare the cornbread according to package instructions and mix with remaining milk, egg, and honey butter mixture.
  6. Pour the cornbread batter over the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
