One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta

A creamy and comforting pasta dish made effortlessly in one pot, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • Pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Milk (1 cup, whole or dairy-free)
  • Parmesan Cheese (1 cup, freshly grated)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, add 4 cups of water and a generous pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil, then add the pasta and cook according to package directions.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Create the Sauce: Add milk to the skillet with garlic, simmer for 3-5 minutes on low heat.
  4. Add the Cheese: Gradually sprinkle in Parmesan cheese while stirring until melted and creamy. Add more milk if desired.
  5. Combine it All: Drain pasta, reserving some water, and fold into the sauce, coating the pasta evenly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.
