Peruvian Chicken

A vibrant and flavorful Peruvian Chicken recipe marinated with zesty spices and herbs, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Lime Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Green Sauce (like cilantro sauce or chimichurri)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, lime juice, and green sauce. Whisk it together until it’s well blended.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Once your grill is ready, place the marinated chicken on it. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Slice it up, serve, and relish the delightful aroma surrounding you!

Notes

For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate for 2 hours or overnight. Try variations like adding jalapeños for heat or honey for sweetness.
