Schezwan Bread Rolls

Delicious and spicy Schezwan Bread Rolls made with vibrant mixed vegetables wrapped in soft roti, perfect for a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Roti (Indian flatbread)
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, onions, beans)
  • 23 tablespoons Schezwan Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oil (for sautéing)
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped Coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat the tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté Your Veggies: Add the chopped onions first, letting them become translucent, about 2–3 minutes. Then add the bell peppers, carrots, and beans. Cook for another 4–5 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Add the Schezwan Sauce and Season: Add your 2–3 tablespoons of Schezwan sauce, sprinkle in salt to taste, and stir everything together for about 2 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Roti: Lay a roti flat on a clean surface, optionally heating it on a pan to make it pliable.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the filling onto one half of the roti.
  6. Fold the roti over the filling and gently roll it up tightly.
  7. Wipe down your skillet, add a splash more oil, and heat it on medium-high.
  8. Carefully place each roll seam-side down in the pan and fry for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove the rolls from the pan and let them drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle with chopped coriander to garnish.

Notes
