A comforting and flavorful twist on the classic smash burger, served in a bowl with juicy ground beef, roasted potatoes, fresh veggies, and creamy toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean preferred)
  • 1 lb red potatoes, diced
  • 12 cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce or mixed greens
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow or Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Pickles
  • Extra lettuce, for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss diced red potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add remaining olive oil and sauté diced onion until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and a dash of salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  6. Layer the ingredients in a large bowl, starting with lettuce, followed by roasted potatoes, ground beef, sauce, cheese, and pickles. Garnish with parsley.
  7. Enjoy your Smash Burger Bowl with extra sauce on the side if desired!
