Smashburger Quesadillas

A delightful mash-up of smashburgers and quesadillas, combining juicy beef with gooey cheese.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 4 Large Flour Tortillas
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar or American Cheese
  • Optional Add-ins: Pickles, Diced Onions, Burger Sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with about a teaspoon of oil. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Add the seasoned beef to the hot skillet. Smash the meat down to ½-inch thickness using a spatula.
  3. Cook until a brown crust forms, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle cheese over the beef and cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes until melted.
  5. Transfer the beef to a plate, reserving some fat in the pan. Place a tortilla in the pan, add the beef mixture to half, and fold.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Slice into wedges and serve with optional burger sauce and pickles.

Notes

For a crispy texture, ensure the beef isn’t too greasy and use a hot skillet. Customize your quesadillas with additional toppings as desired.
