Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

A comforting dish with succulent chicken, chewy noodles, and a sweet-savory garlic sauce that delights the taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare your chicken by rinsing under cold water, patting dry, and slicing into bite-sized pieces. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Boil the noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, around 3-5 minutes for egg noodles or 5-7 minutes for rice noodles. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. Sauté the chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat with sesame oil until golden and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Embrace the garlic, sautéing it in the same skillet until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Create the sticky sauce by combining soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and a splash of water in the skillet and letting it thicken for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine the chicken back into the skillet, coating well with the sauce, and then add the noodles, folding everything together until shiny.
  7. Finish by adjusting seasoning if needed, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
