Twix Cupcakes

Decadent cupcakes filled with chopped Twix bars and drizzled with caramel, topped with salted caramel buttercream.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped Twix candy bars
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup salted caramel buttercream
  • Extra caramel drizzle for topping
  • Chocolate-covered shortbread cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a large bowl.
  3. Fold in the chopped Twix bars.
  4. Prepare a cupcake pan with liners.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner halfway with the batter.
  6. Add about a teaspoon of caramel sauce into the center of each batter-filled liner.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream.
  9. Drizzle extra caramel on top and garnish each with a chocolate-covered shortbread cookie.
