Pumpkin Sticky Buns

Delightful Pumpkin Sticky Buns, tender and fluffy dough smothered in rich pumpkin sauce with crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open the package of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit to about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter in a medium bowl. Stir until smooth.
  4. Spoon about a tablespoon of the pumpkin mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  5. Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling and pinch to seal, placing them seam-side down in a greased baking tray.
  6. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan, add brown sugar, and stir until combined and bubbly. Pour over arranged buns.
  7. Bake for about 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and fluffy.
  8. Cool for a few minutes, then invert the tray onto a serving platter so the sauce drapes over the buns.

Notes

Add a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream for serving. Can also make variations with spices or chocolate.
