Heavenly Homemade Brownies

Decadent homemade brownies that are fudgy, chocolatey, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare an 8×8-inch square pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the melted butter and granulated sugar in a medium bowl until fully incorporated.
  4. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture until smooth and glossy.
  5. Add the sifted cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt, then gently fold until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack, cool completely, and cut into squares.
